Today's Football Betting News:
The long wait is over as Euro 2012 begins this weekend. Poland take on Greece in the championship opener, with Czech republic playing Russia later in the day. The big guns are in action over the weekend as Holland face Denmark and Germany go up against Portugal, then on Sunday Italy play Spain before Republic of Ireland begin their campaign against Russia.
England must wait until Monday to kick things off with their opener against France, while Ukraine take on Sweden on the same day. Spain and Germany are battling for Euro 2012 betting favouritism ahead of the tournament kick off, but the Netherlands have also been well backed.
Football Betting
Long hard seasons all come to a head in the month of May, whether your team has been battling to avoid relegation or weaving the paths to silverware this is the moment of truth. And it is also the month where many football betting predictions come to fruition. Winning pre-season bets will be paid out on league winners, promoted and relegated clubs, Champions League winners and FA Cup winners.
After a hugely disappointing start to the campaign this could yet turn out to be one of the greatest season’s in the history of Chelsea Football Club. Although they are the football betting outsiders to beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League final and also unfancied for a top-four finish in the league, The Blues could still end the season as Europe’s number one club and with their name on the FA Cup.
At the other end of the Premier League Betting spectrum all eyes are on the relegation battle as Blackburn, Wigan, QPR, Bolton and Aston Villa look to avoid joining Wolves in playing Championship football next season. While we already know that Southampton and Reading will be passing them in the football pyramid as they achieved promotion from The Championship.
Football Betting News
With many trophies up for grabs through the month most of the Football Betting News will be focussed around the odds on teams winning silverware. Bayern Munich go into the Champions League final as strong favourites but will be up against an in-form Chelsea side that have defied the odds on multiple occasions already to reach this stage of the competition. While Manchester City are now odds-on favourites for the Premier League title after United surrendered their eight point lead at the top.
Once the season is over Football Betting News will turn its attentions to the transfer rumour markets and Transfer Betting odds. It is sure to be a busy summer for many clubs in the transfer market as the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal all look to improve on this season’s relatively disappointing campaigns both domestically and on the continent.
