Charity Bet Tipster Competition: Week Ten

January 20th, 2012 by Jaymes Monte

Another week, but will it be another dollar for our Charity Bet Tipsters…

You wait all year for one, and then two come along at once. Ben’s first win of the season came a fortnight ago in the FA Cup, and now he’s gone and landed back-to-back blows to add to his charity’s total.  Iain, meanwhile, is creeping closer and closer to Andy at the top and although the gap is still comfortable, we know Andy is feeling the pressure (we don’t really).

Man creeping

Iain is beginning to creep up on Andy.

  1. Andy Brassell – £62.25
  2. Iain Macintosh – £39.50
  3. In Bed With Maradona – £17.50
  4. Jonathan Wilson – £17.25
  5. Ben Lyttleton – £6.50

Will Ben make it three in a row? Will Andy land another outlandish bet? Or will Jonathan’s goals system pay dividends? If you want to follow any of our tipsters’ bets then head over Titanbet and get a £35 free bet by clicking here.

BL – Man City v Spurs – The Draw @ 49/20

I feel Manchester City have entered Roberto Mancini’s default ‘age of austerity’ mode, with only six goals in their last six games, and without Vincent Kompany and Yaya Toure, Spurs may fancy their chances to avenge August’s 1-5 home defeat. I can’t see as many goals this time around, andreckon City would settle now for a point.

IM – Stoke to beat West Brom @ Evens

Stoke haven’t been beaten in front of their frankly terrifying home supporters since November and I’ll be amazed if that run ends here. Though WBA aren’t as bad on the road as you might think, they’ve won four away compared to two at home, they’ve picked up just a single point in their last four games. Home win.

IBWM – Arsenal v Man Utd – Over 2.5 goals @ 4/5

This week I have been nowhere near a sauna, nor have I been in the close proximity of any sweating, naked Germans – well, no more than usual.  I provide this information to you dear reader, as my judgement appeared to have been impaired by the site of many pounds of sweltering Bavarian flesh last week. My punt on Liverpool and Stoke scoring more than 2.5 goals proving fruitless and flaccid.

However, I refuse, REFUSE, to be dislodged from this tactic, so will plump for more than 2.5 goals again, and this week, will lay the considerable girth of my £5 bet at the table marked Arsenal and Manchester United.

Should you choose to view this game in the hope of witnessing another high scoring affair, I apologise in advance for rendering it impotent and scoreless.

AB – Norwich to beat Chelsea @ 97/20

Chelsea failed to, er, fail and earn me some cash last week, but I’m not going to let this one go. Gary Cahill’s arrival means more defensive bedding in for AVB, and whichever of Holt and Morison play (or even both) have enough in the tank to make it difficult for them.

JW – Everton v Blackburn – Over 2.5 goals @ 4/5

Manchester City’s wayward finishing and Joe Hart’s excellence cost me last week, but I’m staying true to the system, (5 right out of 7). It’s not a great week for it this week, with every fixture looking like between 2.6 and 3.0 goals per game, but Blackburn’s leakiness away will hopefully counteract Everton’s meanness at home.
